    Hmmmm. All this suspicious stuff is making me suspicious. In other news; if you find a clean lab in the middle of a dingy, disused part of a building, space station, city or country…RUN!! That’s where the Mad Scientist is!

    I’d love to see some monstrous tentacled horror suddenly burst into the room…holding a broom and a mop. Perhaps the eldritch equivalent of a janitor? Hey, someone/ has to do the cleaning around here, right?

      In Lovecraft’s original story that described shoggoths in detail (At the Mountains of Madness), said shoggoths *were* effectively the “janitors” that kept the tunnels swept spotlessly clean… which would be rather ironic in this particular scene here. :-P

    Where’s the problem? Whately just ditches the stylish garb, shape shifts a bit, has a chat with the tentacled horror, and they’re all friends, right? It’s the robe guy I’m worried about, and his way of saying, “Yes, this is just the way I planned it.”
