I thought it might be fun to whip up a quick comparison of our shoggoths versus their hosts.

    … Tilly looks cuter that original … and looking at the comparison, seems neither did the hair exactly.

    I like the subtle differences between the host and the shoggoth.

    I wonder if Whateley couldn’t manage to replicate the plain, ordinary brown eyes of his host, or if the yellow was just a personal preference. Knowing Whateley’s sense of fashion, the yellow eyes are deliberate.

      I can just imagine some frustrated scientist/shoggoth trainer: “No, look at the photo- like this! BROWN!”
      Whateley: “Nah.”

      Really, it was all they could do to make him settle on earth tones for his skin and hair colors.

    You are making me mourn characters I haven’t met. Score three for you. I still want to know whether the shoggoths’ memories are wiped. I ‘m crazy to find the time to reread from the start.
