Tentacles!

Love ‘dem spiky tentacles!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that sometimes leaves out an ‘e’ in Whateley’s name.
Is Chapter 7 going to be available for purchase soon? (bounces up and down excitedly)
Ah, crap. :face palm:
Chapter 7: I got WAAAY behind schedule thanks to launching one book and finishing up another, so it will probably be a few weeks.
Woah, amazingly done! I’m glad Whateley isn’t dead (yet)! He’s my favorite character so far. What I like about him (and the others from the RS cast, too, of course) is that he’s got some character depth. He’s neither a boring, flawless hero, nor a totally evil villain. Sure, he’s an arsebag, but he’s also a loving sibling to Carter, a master of disguise and smacktalk, a tough enemy to fight and, most importantly, he’s TEH FASHIONISTA WITH THE HILARIOUS RED SHIRT!!!
Thank you! Whateley has been too fun to write to get rid of him anytime soon.
I’ve also checked the background for the promised package of ‘Elder O’s'… Nuthin’…
I just can’t get that line out of my head: “Elder O’s, part of every well balanced, blasphemous diet! Eat ‘em quickly, kids, they might bite back….” =,….,=
I’m totally going to put Elder O’s in chapter seven, which is what I’m working on now (I’m so far behind, sob).
“Silly shoggoth, Elder O’s are for squids!“
:dies laughing:
I really like how this page came out. The narrative gives a proper sense of foreboding to the piece. I also like the progression from Whateley’s loss of transformative control to the protective healing ball at the end of the page!
Hey, Tigershark06. I followed Corbie’s suggestion and have started reading the Gemutations: Plague archive. I’m loving it so far!
Thank you!
Why am I not surprised that Whateley’s tentacles have spikes all over them… Yeah, I’m forced to admit he’s one of my favorites so far. His vices are annoying, but believable.
Hi everyone! Don’t forget you can vote for Riven Sol every day!

The next time Silence visits, Carter is going to have some trouble explaining the situation:
Silence: “Hi there Carter, I–wait, what the hell is that?!”
Carter: “Um…I have no idea what you’re talking about! Here, have some Elder O’s…”
Silence: “I’m talking about the huge ball of spiky tentacles in the corner of your room!”
Carter: “Oh, that…it’s…um…my new plant! Do you like it?”
Silence: “Not really. Where did you get it?”
Carter: “Uh…it was a gift from Barter!”
Silence: “…”
Carter: “It’s, uh, sculpture! Yeah, I’m taking, um, an art class.”
Silence: “Did it just twitch?!”
Carter. “…No?”
You know it’s a great comic—
when the comments are just as much fun to read as the comic itself.
Bravo everyone. The creative energies are beautiful. And hilarious. <3
I’m totally having a ball with the comments too! Love the art, scared to see the full reveal at the same time eagerly awaiting same….
If any of you folk haven’t yet read Octavia Butler’s series about aliens who rescue the last human on Earth after we self-destruct, I suggest you take a look at them. Xenogenesis volumes one and two in particular.
I have read a lot of Octavia Butler (WILDSEED is probably one of the best, most thought-provoking novels ever written), but those are among the ones I haven’t gotten around to yet. I’ll add them to my “need to read” list.

I for vote nekkid time with Carter and Silence!
But which form will Carter be in for that nekkid time? Carter, Barter, or spiky-tentacled horror from beyond? Maybe some alternative sequences to record Silence’s response to each one?
