      No, it’s not a coincidence. The number of people who died in the “attack” is not a coincidence either. :)

    Perhaps they didn’t die in the attack, but went on some sort of top-secret mission (something to do with the Rift?). Now all we need is one more layer of flashback…[insert random Inception meme here].

    Oh wow…now I have the Inception soundtrack in my head accompanying the comic now….it actually kinda fits….
