Yup serious curbing of the truth on that telling. I do wonder how he’s going to react when he finds out her nature. Especially considering what the creatures did to his fellow escapees….
I thought those creatures were of a different kind?
Unless I’ve been misinterpreting things, and those shadowy entities that killed Mei are actually shoggoths sent by the Elder Things that the cultists have been sacrificing to? So Carter is actually one of those things that they summoned, that eventually escaped? Heh, this will *seriously* break Silence’s mind (or whatever’s left of it).
I can see it now… the cultists sacrifice to the Elder Things in order to get help, and the Elder Things send their slaves, the shoggoths, to our dimension. The cultists then experiment on these shoggoths in the lab, but eventually they escape. Carter and her “siblings” are probably the escaped experiments on human-shoggoth hybrids in this lab. Hmm. This could make things very complicated. So why does Keziah want them to “return home”? Perhaps the rift is where the shoggoths can return to their home dimension? Perhaps they hope to return no longer as slaves to the Elder Things, but now freed beings?
Weird, both this time and the previous time, my brain actually registered the right spelling, even though my eyes are obviously seeing the wrong spelling. And I’m generally quite good at catching typos. Must’ve been reading too many sanity-rending comics these days…
So she’s asking him to help her break back into the orphanage? That’s asking a lot…but something tells me that at this point he’d do just about anything for Carter. I can’t wait to see how the new “sibling” is going to tie into this!

It probably won’t be pretty. *evil cackle*

Spelling error in last panel… you accidentally wrote ‘orphange’ instead of orphanage.
she doesn’t seem evil though.. its hard to understand her …
Oops. Well, it wouldn’t be a Riven Sol update without a typo right? Right? *crickets*

Ah ha! My first victim!

Oh? New Girl is a new sibling? That could have … interesting consequences. Especially since Scary Orphanage Woman has approached her.
MUAHAHA….I mean, interesting speculation. *shifty eyes*
