Chapter 10 – Page 14

Silence, of course, doesn’t know what we know–that the medusa guards picked up Darryl for a second round, before Whateley’s intervention. What happened to him after that? Time will tell, but I doubt his sanity’s in very good shape.

This week’s Spider Forest Comic of the Week is Precocious, a very cute comic about excessively bright students with an amazing ability to outsmart themselves. They aren’t exactly your usual innocent, starry-eyed youths. Being normal and nice is far too boring! These kids are not content unless they’ve escalated things out of control.

Don’t think hiding is going to work for her. She’s far too driven to not try to find the answers she wants.

Silence feels he has to try to talk her out of it one last time, but I doubt he really thinks it’s going to work.

He’s not going to convince Carter, but it’s very much in Silence’s character to try, poor guy. After what he’s been through, I can see why hiding seems like the best idea. In his shoes, I’d be as batty as Darryl.

And neither does Silence know that the orphanage people (i.e. the “red priest” :-P ) already know where he is and can easily find him.
